Registration includes dinner on Thursday evening as well as morning refreshments and break refreshments on Thursday and Friday. Lunch is not included in the registration fee, but a variety of lunch options are available.
Please note that the meeting begins before the zoo’s regular hours, so the parking lot may look closed. Just tell the guard you are there for the amphibian meeting and they will let you in.

Please consider presenting an update of conservation issues or your research focused on amphibian biology and conservation in California, Nevada, or more broadly. Presentations are allotted 25 minutes (20 minutes for presentations and 5 minutes for Q&A). If a shorter time slot is desired, please request it in advance for scheduling purposes. Poster presentations are also encouraged and will be displayed throughout the meeting.
Topic areas for presentations include: active management of populations or habitat, agency programs and perspectives, chemical contamination effects, disease, malformations, ecology, invasive species effects and management, land management effects, legal actions, new methods and tools, population genetics and phylogeography, and population studies and distributions.

Saturday January 14 will feature options for field trips; we are still working on the details.
We have rooms reserved at the Ramada Santa Barbara (4770 Calle Real) which is a 12 minute drive from the zoo (parking at the zoo is free). To get a discounted price, call 805-964-3511 and let them know you are with the APTF. The rate for Superior Rooms (two queen beds) is $129 plus tax (10%) and fee ($2.50 per room per night), or $109 plus tax and fee for Standard Rooms (King bed). This great discount ends 30 days before our meeting.

Continental breakfast, coffee, other beverages, and snacks are included with registration and will be available both Thursday and Friday mornings and during session breaks. Lunches will not be provided as part of registration, but 90-minute lunch breaks will be scheduled both Thursday and Friday afternoons. Lunch options are available locally.
In addition, we are hosting a banquet dinner on Thursday evening, 6:30 – 9:00 pm, at the Zoo (same place as meeting room). Dinner is included with registration; sorry, no ‘opting out’. A no-host bar will be available during the banquet.
A no-host pre-meeting meet-and-greet will occur on Wednesday evening 6:30 – 9:00 pm at The Neighborhood Bar and Grill, 235 W. Montecito St. Santa Barbara CA 93101.
Santa Barbara Zoo from the north: Heading S on US101 take exit 96A S. Alisos Street towards S. Milpas Street. Then head east (towards the ocean) on Milpas Street about 0.3 miles, then left onto Calle Puerto Vallarta. Continue on 0.25 miles as this street turns into Por La Mar Drive and then to Ninos Drive where the zoo is located. From the south: Heading N on US101 take Exit 94C to E Cabrillo Blvd (note: it’s a rare left hand exit off freeway). Turn left onto E Cabrillo for 0.9 miles, then right onto Ninos Drive where the zoo is located.
Parking at the Zoo is free for meeting attendees. An attendant will let you in if barricades are up.
Ramada Santa Barbara from the north: Heading S on US101 take exit 103 Turnpike Road then west on Calle Real. From the south: Heading N on US101 take exit 102 onto Calle Real.
